David Sylvian and Robert Fripp, both British musicians, collaborated on their first album called "The First Day." This album was released in August 1993 and it combines a driving rock style with elements of funk. Instead of joining a new version of his band King Crimson, Fripp asked Sylvian to work on a collaborative album, and that's how "The First Day" came to be.
The release of this collaboration was a shock to me. A new genre for a David Sylvian fan. Powerful and solid music that inspired explosive images for me.
